According to Variety magazine, Chan and Li will soon team for a film. The budget for the full-length feature film is estimated to be $70 million. The budget is a big amount for Relativity, who will arrange the financing. Casey Silver will be handling the film’s production.
Yuen Woo-Ping, a martial arts expert, will create the action sequences. Filming is set to begin in April, 2007. The script is based on the legend of the monkey king and the search for immortality.
Chan, 52, will play the monk T’sa-Ho while Li, 43, will play two characters.
