Foxx is currently in final negotiations to star with Butler in the psychological thriller, Law Abiding Citizen.
The project will be directed by Frank Darabont (The Mist, The Green Mile), who also co-wrote the screenplay with Kurt Wimmer (The Thomas Crown Affair).
Butler will play an assistant prosecutor who is the target of a revenge plot by the character to be played by Foxx. The man is devastated by the news that one of the murderers of his wife and daughter will be released after a deal is struck between the defence and the prosecution. He then becomes set on revenge.
