Jamie Oliver’s Big Feastival kicks off in London

One-of-a-kind fundraiser begins tomorrow in England’s capital city.

London’s foodies will be on hand tomorrow (July 1) to kick off Jamie Oliver’s, The Big Feastival; a unique event combining world class food and live musical performances.

While the most prominent restaurateurs in the United Kingdom will be present to promote their wares, Oliver’s true purpose with this festival is to help disadvantaged children and profits will go The Prince’s Trust and The Jamie Oliver Foundation.

Guests will be welcomed to a variety of kitchens in a park setting, run by the likes of esteemed eateries, Barbecoa, Cinnamon Kitchen, and Vinoteca. The cost per dish is around $8. Diners will be entertained by numerous musical artists, including Roots Manuva, Soul II Soul, and The Charlatans.

The Big Feastival takes place July 1-3 in the beautiful Clapham Commons, a well-loved, 220-acre park in south London frequented by young picnickers, joggers and cyclists. For more information on the event, visit www.jamieoliver.com/thebigfeastival/.
