Jamie Spears Does Not Want Britney’s Case to Be Federal

Britney Spears’ father, Jamie Spears, does not want his daughter’s case to find itself before a federal court.

Jamie Spears’ lawyer is arguing that the conservator case should not be moved to federal court. He stated that the lawyer who made this request does not even represent the singer as he claimed.

In the court papers submitted on Tuesday (February 19), Spears’ father, and the other co-conservator, Andrew Wallet, called Jon Eardley’s attempts "a brazen – but vain – attempt to strip a probate court of jurisdiction … by an attorney without a client."

Eardley’s attempt was taken harshly by Judge Philip Gutierrez last Tuesday, who gave him until February 29 to argue why he should not reject the demand.
