Jackson left Virgin, with whom she has had a long career. She is now joining the label of her boyfriend, Jermaine Dupri. Island Urban is now under contract with Jackson.
The decision came after Jackson’s disappointment with her last two discs, Damita Jo, which was released in 2004, and 20 Y.O., which was released last year.
