Jason Mraz Uses Talent for Good Deed

Jason Mraz is writing a special song for a 13-year-old with cancer.

Among the new artists who have had an exceptional year in music in 2009, Mraz is up at the top of the list.

The singer saw his album We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things catapult to the top of charts in 2009. The artist has never been known to have a big head, and his latest gesture stands as proof.

Jason Mraz composed a special song for Christian Burns, a child stricken with cancer at the young age of 13. Song of Love is about all the important people and things in Christian’s life. This initiative was done in collaboration with The Songs of Love Foundation, an organisation that calls upon artists to write personalized songs for sick children for free.

Mraz also took time to record a video for the foundation, and the video is competing with 99 others on Facebook in a contest held by a Chase Bank that will give the most popular charity one million dollars.

All those who vote will get the chance to hear the Mraz’s unreleased song at the end of the contest.
