Variety magazine has reported that Jason Staham will play in the 40 million dollar thriller, The Killer Elite.
The film, directed by Gary McKendy who is known for his work in commercials, is inspired by the best-selling novel by Ranulph Fiennes, The Feathermen.
Based on real facts, the story follows a British Special Forces group that is being tracked by assassins. Staham will play a former Navy Seal that comes out of retirement to help a close friend. Filming will begin this fall in London, Paris and Australia.
In his next two films, Jason Staham will co-star with actor Mickey Rourke. The movie, 13, will be released next year. He is currently filming, The Expendables, which will hit theatres on April 23, 2010.
