The British actor, who is known for action films, is pressing studios to put him in a remake of The Crow, the film that Lee was making when he lost his life in 1994.
Lee, who was the son of the legendary Bruce Lee, died when a shooting scene was being filmed and the fake gun was replaced with a real one.
According to FemaleFirst, Statham wants to be cast in the role of Eric Draven. The actor said, "There’s talk of them redoing The Crow. That was a good movie. So, if that one comes my way, bang!”
We can see Statham in another action film remake, Death Race. The film, which was produced by Tom Cruise, will be released in September.
