According to Variety, actor Jay Baruchel (Tropic Thunder) is in negotiations to play the leading role in The Sorcerer’s Apprentice with Nicolas Cage.
Jon Turteltaud is directing the Walt Disney Pictures project. The story takes place in contemporary New York, where a sorcerer searches for an apprentice.
Jay Baruchel is currently finishing the shooting of The Trotsky. Next year, we can see him in She’s Out of My League, which does not yet have a release date.
