Jay-Z and Kanye West expand collaboration

Rappers decide to expand on EP material to create full album.

During an interview with MTV News held after the premiere of his mini-movie Runaway, rapper Kanye West revealed that his collaboration with hip-hop star, Jay-Z, has expanded more than either had initially expected.

While working together on West’s mini-album, Watch the Throne, the duo has decided to expand the offering into a full album.

“We’re putting out a whole album now,” West said. “We had done five [songs] so far and then a few of them kind of were out there” — Monster was one of his weekly ‘Good Friday’ releases — “and I put them on my album. Sorry, Jay!”

“We’re going to the South of France at the end of this month just to record new ideas,” he said. “We’ll probably be done with the album in like a day or whatever,” he added, seemingly joking. “If you think about it, it’s really easy [for Jay]: He only has to think of, like, ten verses!”

Last week, West revealed new diamond-studded lower teeth during his appearance on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show.
