Jay-Z insists that he has no intention of leaving his position.
According to recent rumours, the rapper was in negotiations to join his girlfriend, Beyonce Knowles, at Columbia Records. Jay-Z was rumoured to be unhappy with Def Jam’s decision to hire producer Jermaine Dupri.
During an interview with DJ Angie Martinez at New York’s HOT 97 radio station, Jay-Z denied the story. He told listeners, "If they don’t kick me out the building (I will be there next week). I’m always looking at the next move, (but) I’m nowhere near that (going to Columbia). That’s the papers, they are ahead of me."
