Music fans with tickets to the Wireless Music Festival will be happy to hear that singer Lily Allen confirmed she will perform. The festival takes place in Hyde Park, London on July 4.
Allen announced at this year’s Brit Awards that she wanted to take a complete leave from music. She won Best Female Solo Artist at the award show.
She planned to start her break at the end of her current tour with Dizzie Rascal.
Jay-Z personally contacted her to ask if she would reconsider and perform with him during the festival. It seems she could not refuse. She is now scheduled to perform just before Jay-Z’s headlining slot.
During the NME Awards this week, Lily Allen told a journalist that her hiatus could last up to five years. The singer wants to launch her own record label and manage it the way she thinks the music industry should be run.
Wireless Festival runs for two days and also has Pink headlining.
