He also sits in the number one spot on the Forbes list of top 10 hip-hop earners.
Ryan Schinman is chief of Platinum Rye, America’s largest buyer of music and talent for big corporations. He said: "Jay-Z is in a league of his own right now. There are very few artists of any genre, not just hip-hop, who’ve created such brands for themselves."
Business mogul P. Diddy came in second with $30 million while Akon placed third with $21 million. Akon is the lucky duck who signed Lady Gaga to his record label.
