Though the two stars wanted to keep their special day a secret to avoid media attention, the rapper admits that their efforts resulted in some friends and family members not being invited to the ceremony, reports FemaleFirst.
During an interview with Oprah Winfrey for O magazine, Jay-Z said, "Very few people knew about it. The sad part is that we offended some. But people who love you understand because, at the end of the day, it’s your day."
The intimate wedding ceremony took place in April, 2008 in Jay-Z’s New York apartment.
