Jennifer Aniston won’t wake up to hear Oscar nominations

Jennifer Aniston insists she has no plans to wake up in the early hours of the morning to find out whether she’s been nominated for an Oscar because she doesn’t want to ”torture herself”.

Jennifer Aniston doesn’t want to be awake when the Oscar nominations are announced in case she doesn’t get a nod.

The 45-year-old actress is expected to receive a Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role nomination for her part in ‘Cake’ but she’s revealed she has no plans to wake up when they’re announced at 8.30am EST, 1.30pm GMT today (15.01.15), in order to find out.

She said: ”I’m not going to torture myself. My phone rang yesterday at five o’clock in the morning and I was like, ‘What’s happening? Who’s dead or b, is today Thursday?’ ”

Instead, the ‘We’re the Millers’ star insists she’ll be tucked up in bed with her fiance Justin Theroux and will wait until the morning to hear the good or bad news.

She told E! News: ”I’ll be in bed. I’ll be in bed with my beloved and my dogs dreaming wild little dreams.”

Jennifer’s role in ‘Cake’ sees her star as a woman who becomes addicted to painkillers and becomes obsessed with the suicide of a female in her chronic pain support group, and she admits it was ”liberating” to wear little makeup and have prosthetic scarring across her face and body for the film.

She said previously: ”It’s one of the most liberating things. It was incredible.”

The brunette beauty narrowly missed out on a Golden Globe for the performance and has been nominated for a Critics’ Choice Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
