Mandate Pictures has acquired the script to Butter, written by Jason Micallef, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Garner could star in the comedy, as well as produce it along with producer Michael De Luca.
The story follows a young orphan who is adopted by a Midwestern family. She discovers that she has a true talent for making sculptures out of butter. She then contends against the reigning champion, during an annual butter carving contest.
In the meantime, Jennifer Garner will star in Ghost of Girlfriend’s Past on May 1, and in This Side of the Truth on September 25.
