According to the Hollywood Reporter, Hudson, who earned an Oscar for best supporting actress for the film Dreamgirls, may be working with Forest Whitaker. Whitaker also earned an Oscar recently.
Winged Creatures is the story of witnesses to a murder-suicide in a fast-food restaurant, and how they cope with the aftermath of the tragic incident.
To be directed by Rowan Woods (Little Fish), Winged Creatures will also star Jackie Earle Haley, Kate Beckinsale, Guy Pearce and Dakota Fanning.
Filming is set to begin shortly in Los Angeles.
