According to Contactmusic, Jennifer Hudson will be the first African-American singer to appear on the cover of Vogue. Hudson was photographed by the renowned Annie Leibovitz.
Hudson played in the movie Dreamgirls, alongside Beyoncé Knowles. The only other African-American women that have been on the cover of Vogue were Oprah, then Halle Berry, and now, Jennifer Hudson.
The 25-year-old singer was on American Idol in 2004.
Since American Idol, Hudson has won a Golden Globe and a Bafta award. She has also been nominated for an Oscar.
