Recently-separated actress and singer Jennifer Lopez was moved to tears after singing a love song at a concert on Saturday (October 22) at a Connecticut casino, reports RadarOnline.
Separated from husband Marc Anthony a few months ago, Lopez sang an acoustic version of her hit If You Had My Love and then told her audience: “I’m going to sing you the last song I wrote about love. A lot has changed since then.”
Then she sang Until It Beats No More while pairs of dancers played out scenes from her past. One couple had a P. Diddy look-alike and the female dancer wore a dress similar to the infamous plunging Versace gown she wore to the Oscars.
Another dancer mimicked Cris Judd and the girl wore jeans and a T-shirt, and another pair had a girl wearing a seafoam green gown on the arm of a Ben Affleck double. Another couple recreated Lopez and Marc Anthony during their American Idol performance last May, just weeks before they announced their split.
After the performance, Lopez told the sold-out crowd, "I took a trip down memory lane" and started to cry as the crowd applauded.
A photo of her three-year-old twins Max and Emme flashed above her and she said, "There’s love – and then there’s love."
“At the end of the song she started sobbing and had to take a few moments to keep it together,” an onlooker told RadarOnline.com. "She held it together for one song but then ran offstage crying.
“She only sang a few more songs and she was obviously out of it. Everyone was so sad for her. It was really dramatic.”
