A former husband of Lopez, Ojani Noa, plans to release a biographical book which will reveal intimate details about the sex life of the popular actress. Lopez and Noa were married in February, 1997, after meeting in a Miamia restaurant. The two divorced eleven months later.
Lopez has already obtained a restraining order against Noa, halting the book release until a final legal decision could be made. Lawyers for Lopez have now said that their case does not need to be heard in a trial, and should be able to be settled through arbitration.
This is not the first time that Lopez and Noa have fought a legal war. Last October, after firing Noa from his manager’s position at her Los Angeles restuarant, Madres, Lopez was required to pay him $125,000.
The book, The Unknown Truth: A Passionate Portrait of a Serial Thriller, will be published unless Lopez pays $5 million to Noa, according to his lawyer.
