Jennifer Lopez working on greatest hits album

On the Floor singer plans compilation of top songs.

American singer and actress Jennifer Lopez is planning to release a greatest hits album according to vocal producer Kuk Harrell, reports MTV News.

The American Idol judge has had a string of hits since her 1999 debut On the 6, including If You Had My Love, Waiting for Tonight, Love Don’t Cost a Thing, I’m Real, Jenny from the Block, and On the Floor.

"I just got the call a week ago that the greatest-hits album for Jennifer Lopez is coming up," Harrell said. “Now I’m just waiting for them to put on the schedule [and] let me know what songs we’re actually cutting and stuff like that. "I think [when] I find out what the direction is, I will definitely go in the lab. I will get in the lab with Tricky Stewart and The-Dream and see what we can come up with for it."

The producer-composer-engineer works with his cousins Tricky and Mark Stewart at RedZone Entertainment. In that time, he co-wrote Rihanna’s Umbrella hit, and worked with Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Justin Bieber, and Usher, among others.

“I’m so fortunate to be able to work with Rihanna and Justin Bieber … and Jennifer Lopez for that matter, so anytime a call comes in to work with the three of them, it’s always ‘yes,’ because it’s just assumed [it’ll be good]," he said. "…That’s when my competitive edge comes out. It has to be the best. It has to be better than anything we’ve ever done."
