Barcelona jeweler Tous names pop star as new brand ambassador.

Barcelona-based jeweler, Tous, has announced actress Jennifer Lopez as the new face of the brand, reports Coco Perez. Lopez will appear in ads for the spring 2011 collection, photographed by Ellen Von Unwerth.

"We are absolutely delighted to have the iconic Jennifer Lopez be the face of Tous’ spring campaign," said Rosa Tous, designer of the new collection.

"Jennifer is not just an amazingly beautiful woman, but also a talented actress, musician and dancer sharing with us strong family values as we are a family-owned business," adds her husband, Salvador Tous, Honorific President of Tous.

"We are confident that Jennifer Lopez will be a great spokesperson as she is genuine and endlessly charismatic; a great illustration of our brand."

Lopez, whose newest role includes a hosting gig on the popular television show American Idol, has previously served as brand ambassador for both Venus and L’Oréal. The successful performer has sold over 55 million records worldwide and has starred in Hollywood blockbusters including The Wedding Planner and Monster-In-Law.

"You know, all girls love diamonds," revealed the star, in discussing her newest celebrity endorsement.

The family-operated Tous was founded in 1920, and now operates over 400 storefronts in 45 countries, offering a range of lifestyle products from jewelry to accessories and perfumes.
