A month ago, it looked like Jennifer Lopez and American Idol producers could not reach a deal. There were reports Lopez was asking for too much and had too many diva demands.
People reports the two sides were finally able to agree on terms and this means Jennifer Lopez will be a judge on the 10th season of American Idol. She inked a deal worth $12 million.
This contract comes two weeks after judge Kara DioGuardi confirmed she was leaving the show, following in the footsteps of Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres.
"She’s very excited," a source revealed about Lopez’s reaction to the contract.
The Fox network would not comment and a rep for Lopez offered no comment as well. An official announcement should come at the beginning of October just before auditions begin for the upcoming season.
