Jennifer Love Hewitt single again

Self-proclaimed ‘love-aholic’ wants to settle down and start a family.

Ghost Whisperer star Jennifer Love Hewitt, 31, is single again, having split up with her boyfriend of one year, actor and director Alex Beh, her rep told Us magazine.

“They haven’t been dating for a little while," her representative said.

"She’s doing well," according to a friend.

The actress began dating the actor-director in late July 2010, after her March 2010 break-up with her Ghost Whisperer co-star Jamie Kennedy. After her split with Kennedy, she said she was comfortable with being single, but anxious to start a family.

"I am a hopeless romantic,” Hewitt confessed. “My middle name is Love. Valentine’s Day is my favorite holiday. I want a family and children.”

Back in February, things seemed to being going well for Hewitt and Beh: “He buys me flowers every day. Ever since we met. Every single day — I’m serious!” she told the magazine at an NYC fashion event. “He’ll either give me a bouquet, or handpick one. So sweet!"

No matter what her relationship status is, she told talk TV host Ellen DeGeneres in January that she already has three engagement rings picked out at Tiffany’s – just in case.

"I actually have three because I feel like I’m doing the guy a favor," she said. "I feel like I don’t want to be upset if he picks a bad ring."

Prior to dating Beh, The Lost Valentine actress has dated Carson Daly, John Mayer, Joey Lawrence, Ross MCall, and Jenny McCarthy’s ex-husband, director John Asher, among others. She is working on a sequel to her relationship guide, New York Times bestseller The Day I Shot Cupid, in which she admits to being a ‘love-aholic.’

"I just started it, and it’s coming slowly," Hewitt says. "It’s going to be more of a prequel. I realized that [in Cupid] I had helped people through the process of finding a man. But there’s a whole group of women out there, me included, that don’t realize the reason they haven’t found that right man is they haven’t learned how to love themselves first. Once you really love yourself, the caliber of men you can be with goes up.”
