In August, Paul DelVecchio – better known as DJ Pauly D – confirmed the rumor that he was indeed in talks for a record deal with rapper 50 Cent’s labels G-Unit Records and G-Note Records.
This month, it became official after the MTV reality star of Jersey Shore inked the deal, reports Billboard. The 31-year-old DJ has been working in music since he was 16, using his success on the MTV reality show to help propel his success as a DJ.
This year, he also signed a contract with Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada USA as an exclusive resident DJ. It was also announced that Delvecchio would open for Britney Spears Femme Fatale tour in North America on selected dates in 2011.
American rapper and entrepreneur 50 Cent said Pauly D was a "great addition to G-Note and G-Unit family" and called him smart and creative.
