The 26-year-old actress told Regis and Kelly that she had received an offer to star in a David Mamet production, entitled Speed-the-Plow. This musical comedy was done on Broadway for the first time in 1988, and the starring role was held by Madonna.
Alba revealed, "Well, there’s a rumor. Yeah, I’ve been asked to do it. But this is just talk. It’s not really happening yet. I’m freaked out!"
Alba is presently filming the movie, The Love Guru, with Mike Myers and Justin Timberlake. It will be in theatres on June 20, 2008.
