According to Variety, Alba has accepted a role in the modern fable An Invisible Sign of My Own.
Based on the Aimee Bender novel, the story follows a young woman shut off from the world and obsessed with math and numbers. Her life changes when she becomes a teacher.
The screenplay was written by Pam Falk and Mike Ellis (The Wedding Planner) and the project will be directed by Marilyn Agrelo (Mad Hot Ballroom). Filming is set to begin next month.
The only other film on Jessica Alba’s schedule is Sin City 2, which is expected to be released in 2010.
