According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 25-year-old star will be playing in this film adaptation of the 1924 theatre production, written by Noel Coward.
Biel will play an American divorcee who goes to Southern France and impulsively marries a young man from the United Kingdom (Ben Barnes). The honeymoon ends quickly when the groom introduces his new bride to his parents, played by Colin Firth and Kristin Scott Thomas.
The cast will be directed by Stephen Elliott, who co-wrote the screenplay with Sheridan Jobbins. It will be filmed in London.
Alfred Hitchcock was the first director to adapt this play by Coward. Hitchcock directed this in 1928 without sound.
