According to FemaleFirst, the star, who recently divorced singer Nick Lachey, is not planning to adopt now. For several years, Simpson has been supporting Mexican orphanages. The Dukes of Hazzard star began making monetary contributions to the orphanages when she was 11 years old.
Simpson said, "I’m not adopting a child. No, not yet. I support an orphanage in Mexico – that’s where the rumours come from. I haven’t been down in a couple years but I’m making a trip pretty soon actually."
Simpson also said that she is inspired by Angelina Jolie, who also helps orphans, and has adopted two children herself.
