With Simpson’s new ventures into the world of fashion, she has decided to create her own jeans, reports CocoPerez.
The singer inked a deal with Jones Apparel Group to develop, create, produce and distribute a complete collection of jeans under the Jessica Simpson label.
The collection will offer every type of jeans imaginable, from cigarette pants to jean leggings, all made from high quality fabrics that are machine washable.
Jack Gross of Jones Apparel Group said that Simpson has been actively participating in the process. “She has a very strong point of view and would be in here working long hours on this, sometimes up to 12 hours or so. I have to say, I didn’t really expect to see that," he explained.
Jessica also spoke about her inspirations, saying, "I was inspired to create a great denim line that complements the entire Jessica Simpson lifestyle brand – a jean that becomes a girl’s best friend, that everyday go-to pair.”
The Jessica Simpson denim line will be sold in 1000 boutiques, including Macy’s, Bon-Ton, Belk and Dillard’s.
