Jewellery à la Hermès

Hermès introduces a jewellery collection inspired by its equestrian roots.

Coco Perez reports that the French company Hermès is finally launching its fine jewellery collection after two years of work and development.

This new luxury jewellery collection designed by Pierre Hardy offers 14 pieces inspired by the horse hoof. The design remains faithful to the company’s equestrian origins.

Hardy explains, "I simply went back to its roots and to the horse’s hoof, taking the roughest, strongest, almost radical element and giving it the most feminine, the most modern interpretation."

The collection also remains faithful to the label’s price. These Hermès jewels range from a $23,675 pair of clip-on rose gold and black jade earrings to an $880,000 US whip-shaped diamond necklace.

All pieces come with a custom-made alligator leather box complete with a real zebra skin mat.

Customers who want to procure one of the pieces in this collection will have to wait five to seven months before receiving their purchase.
