Jimmy Carter Museum Renovated

The Jimmy Carter Library and Museum has been newly-renovated.

The Carter museum in Atlanta, dedicated to former US president Jimmy Carter, has received a 10 million dollar facelift.

Jimmy Carter, the 39th US president who served between 1977 and 1981, was defeated by Ronald Reagan in 1980 when Iran held members of his embassy hostage. This, along with many other things, caused his defeat to Reagan, a former Hollywood star who was very popular.

The newly-renovated museum also includes Mr. Carter’s work after he left office. He was heavily involved in many different causes, including eradicating poverty and diseases, mediating conflicts and monitoring elections in other parts of the world so that they were done in a democratic and just way.

The museum also includes an interactive exhibit to give visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the day in the life of the president. In addition, there is a full-scale replica of the Oval office for those visitors who do not have access to the White House in Washington.
