Last January, Jimmy Choo announced its collaboration with Australian brand Ugg. The announcement surprised customers of the luxury shoe brand. Eight months later, the result of this collaboration is now being introduced.
Jimmy Choo co-founder Tamara Mellon worked with Ugg to add these special boots with a touch of Jimmy Choo.
The shape of the Ugg boot remains the same. Special touches have been incorporated, including zebra and leopard patterns, golden nails, silver stars and fringe.
Last August, it was reported that Tamara Mellon was preparing to sell the shoe brand for over $700 million US.
In 1996, Mellon was the editor responsible for fashion accessories for British Vogue. She approached renowned footwear creator Jimmy Choo, who produced his designs by hand in his studio, and suggested they found Jimmy Choo.
They became partners and opened their first store in the Knightsbridge neighbourhood of London. Jimmy Choo has become one of the biggest brands in the footwear industry and is now sold in hundreds of stores in 32 countries.
