Demand for JLS’ farewell tour has soared after they announced their split.
Fans of the chart-topping boy band – who revealed they will go their separate ways following the conclusion of their ‘Goodbye’ tour at the end of this year – have flooded secondary ticket selling websites in a bid to see to the group live one last time, and the ‘Hottest Girl in the World’ hitmakers have experienced a 300% increase in demand for tickets.
Louise Mullock, spokesperson for ticket reseller Seatwave, said: "JLS have had major success in the past 5 years and have a strong fan base. The fact that this will be fans last chance to see them perform live together has resulted in mammoth demand for tickets."
The group announced the 13-date tour last November in support of their fourth studio album, ‘Evolution’, but the boy band – consisting of J.B. Gill, Marvin Humes, Aston Merrygold and Oritse Williams – rebranded the tour after announcing their split yesterday (24.04.13).
The ‘Everybody in Love’ singers will release a final album, also titled ‘Goodbye’, and a new single in the lead-up to the tour, which begins in Nottingham on December 4 and ends in London on December 21.
Announcing their break-up, Aston said: "It’s just that time. We are still best of friends and always will be, but this is the end."
