According to a report from PerezHilton.com, Phoenix has decided to venture into the music industry. He is following the footsteps of Scarlett Johansson, Minnie Driver, Kevin Bacon, Billy Bob Thornton and many other actors-turned-singers.
Phoenix was inspired when he had to learn to play the guitar for the biographical film about Johnny Cash, Walk the Line.
The actor is working with Tim Burgess, the star of the British pop group, The Charlatans.
The new album’s launch date has not yet been announced.
