Lead singer of the Jonas Brothers, Joe Jonas, just announced he will follow in his younger brother Nick’s footsteps and launch his first solo album. It will be ready for release at the end of this year or, at the latest, the beginning of next year.
The 20-year old singer is heading out on tour this summer with his brothers. Lots of rumours started flying around after the youngest Jonas released a solo album under the name Nick Jonas and the Administration. Joe Jonas says he will get back to work on his solo venture after the tour is over.
Joe Jonas said, "There’s nothing to hide. We’re just waiting for the right timing. There’s a lot of Jonas stuff going on this year, so once there’s a place for that record, we’ll release it. You’ll hear a lot of new music from us."
The Jonas Brothers have three Canadian stops planned on their tour this summer. They stop in Toronto on September 2, Montreal on September 4 and will come back across the border on September 15 to perform in Vancouver.
Joe Jonas’ girlfriend, Demi Lovato, is the opening act on the Jonas Brothers tour this summer.
