Good Charlotte leader singer Joel Madden and Nicole Richie announced their engagement last month. They have two children together, Harlow and Sparrow. It seems Nicole is the one in charge of making wedding plans.
Madden said, "It’s the same thing as our engagement, we’re kind of doing it at our own pace. We have no idea right now."
Richie threw in, "Like he has any say."
The couple do not seem to agree on the type of wedding they want. Madden says, "According to her we’ll have a really big wedding. According to me, it will be really small."
A date for the Madden-Richie nuptials has not been revealed. The couple walked the red carpet at the Oscars last Sunday (March 7) and joked that the ceremony was really soon. Richie said, "It’s tomorrow."
Nicole Richie denied engagement rumours last October. At the time, she said she wanted to get married one day but it was not part of their plans at the moment. She added that if her kids asked, she would get married.
Richie talked about her kids yesterday on the Ellen DeGeneres show. She shared that her son "is six months. He’s huge. He was almost eight pounds when he was born." She went on to say that her daughter is "22 pounds and she’s 2. And he’s 18 pounds and he’s 6 months — needless to say, I’m exhausted."
