According to Female First, John Mayer recently thanked his fans for their support after that controversial Playboy magazine interview. In the article, he called ex Jessica Simpson "sexual napalm."
Now the musician wants to turn the page and make a fresh start.
The Half Of My Heart singer thanked fans at his Madison Square Garden concert in New York. He said, "Never, ever in my entire life did I ever think that it would be a good idea to be an a*shole. But you know what? There’s plenty of a*sholes who think the same thing, so I have to thank you."
He went on to say, "It’s a clean me now, people, clean me."
The artist went on Twitter after the show to praise his fans. He tweeted, "MSG crowd, will you tweet me when you get home safe? It’s bad out. Oh and HOLY SHNIKES. You were unreal tonight."
John Mayer revealed in that Playboy interview that he wants to write pornography. He has dated, among others, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston and Cameron Diaz.
