John Paul Jones Doesn’t Predict Led Zeppelin Reunion

Led Zeppelin will likely remain a legend.

This week, Robert Plant, who hinted that there was a possibility of the band reuniting during the Glastonbury Festival in 2010, was set straight by bass player John Paul Jones.  Jones insists that such a reunion will not be happening.

Now, the bass player is a member of the group Them Crooked Vultures, along with Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters and Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age.

During an interview with the BBC, Jones said that he’s not looking back after the failed comeback attempt in 2008.  Jones also cited differences of opinion among Led Zeppelin members for the lack of hope, saying, "Jimmy [Page] and I rehearsed a bit with Jason [Bonham]. We couldn’t agree on a singer and it fell by the wayside."

This time, Robert Plant was approached by the music festival’s organizer, Michael Eavis, but it seems the plans for Led Zeppelin to play at the event’s 40th anniversary will fall flat.  In a separate BBC interview, Plant said, "There’s place for me there, but I have no idea who with."
