Johnny Depp sells his first works of art for $3.6M
Johnny Depp launched in the last hours his very first collection of pop art and the whole thing was sold in only a few hours… for the modest sum of 3.9 million dollars.
The collection consisted of 780 pieces. An individual work was sold for $4,800 while a lot of four works was sold for $18,000, reported Daily Mail.
The American actor’s art was centered on portraits of his « Friends & Heroes, » including Bob Dylan, Keith Richards, Elizabeth Taylor and Al Pacino.
« I have always used art to express my feelings and reflect on those who matter most to me, such as my family, friends and people I admire. My paintings surround my life, but I kept them to myself and limited myself. No one should ever limit themselves, » Johnny said via the news page of Castle Fine Art, the gallery he collaborated with.
