Surprisingly, rocker Jonas, who is known for his old-school style, is keen on electronica. “I’m also a big fan of electronic music. I really like house and deep progressive kind of stuff. For me, music has never been about a style,” the singer revealed in an interview with BE! Interactive.
Jonas actually creates some material in this genre of music. “I actually do produce some electronic stuff. I do vocals with a good friend of mine, on his stuff. But that’s a side project, that’s really just for fun for now,” he explained.
The singer doesn’t intend on going techno on his own album, which is getting released this summer, according to what he posted on his MySpace site. “The next record is going to be more like the first album, more raw. It’s going to be everything that we are live,” he described.
Before his new album hits the shelves, Jonas fans can get the Jonas Live at the Bell Centre DVD. Initially, it was expected out last fall, but now the DVD will be out in March or April.
