Mitchell took almost 10 years off to concentrate on her paintings, poetry and her private life. Showbizz.net reported that singer Joni Mitchell decided to plunge back into her music.
In addition to a new album, Mitchell is also expecting to do a multimedia exposition, where she can involve ballet and other art forms. She will do a tour starting in Canada.
The album Shine, will have nine new songs, and a new version of the song Big Yellow Taxi.
The new project will be launched on September 25, the same date she will be doing the multimedia exposition in New York.
