Joseph Gordon-Levitt in next Batman movie?

American actor in talks for his Inception director’s next project.

American actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, 29, has begun negotiations to join the cast of the next batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, giving him the opportunity to work again with his Inception director Christopher Nolan, reports Deadline.

Gordon-Levitt began his acting career at age 6, and is known for his TV role in 3rd Rock from the Sun, and has appeared in a diverse number of films including 10 Things I Hate About You, Brick, and opposite Zooey Deschanel in (500) Days of Summer.

There was no detailed information on which character  Gordon-Levitt would be playing in the comic book superhero sequel. So far, Christian Bale is set to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne aka Batman, Anne Hathaway will play Selina Kyle aka Catwoman, and Tom Hardy will play Bane. Gary Oldman will once again play Jim Gordon, Morgan Freeman is Lucius and Michael Caine is also back playing the butler Alfred.

Filming on the new Batman flick begins this spring for theatrical release on July 20, 2012. Also, Gordon-Levitt stars opposite Seth Rogen in the upcoming comedy drama Live With It due out September 23.
