Josh Brolin Obsessed with W. Film Role

Josh Brolin admits that he became obsessed with his role as George W. Bush to the point that he drove his wife nuts.

Josh Brolin was under so much pressure to play George W. Bush in the biographical film W., directed by Oliver Stone, that it affected his life on and off the set.

He admits that he became obsessed with learning all the particular mannerisms of the American president to portray him just right on the big screen.

The stress of having to imitate Bush’s accent even caused him to break out in hives.

He also freaked out his wife, Diane Lane, because he went out in public talking to himself.

On a flight to Hawaii, Brolin was using mnemonic devices to learn nearly 40 different fraternity names. Lane had to ask him to cut it out immediately, because it was all too strange and abnormal.
