Brolin apologised for his inappropriate comments about Crowe at the New York Film Critics Awards, which took place on Monday (January 5).
The star explained himself by blaming the combination of alcohol and the ambiance of the party for what he said about Crowe, when he accepted an award for best supporting actor for Milk. Brolin said, "He’s quite the actor, that Sean Penn. He’s not an A**hole like Russell Crowe."
Later, Brolin said, "It was the ambiance of the room. I love him (Crowe). I think he’s amazing. He’s a friend. I was bummed out when I saw that."
