Tran Anh Hung (The Scent of Green Papaya) wrote the screenplay, and will direct the project.
Hartnett will play a private detective who is haunted by a past encounter with a serial killer, decides to travel to the Far East to find a healer. Tran Nu Yen Khe will also star in the film.
Hartnett can next be seen with Samuel L. Jackson in the film Resurrecting the Champ, directed by Rod Lurie, and 30 Days of Night.
