Joss Stone Battles With EMI

Joss Stone has declared war on her record label and refuses to be silent.

Joss Stone has declared war on her record label, EMI, and promises to sing new songs during a charity concert at the O2 Arena in London in September.

Stone’s fourth album, Colour Me Free, was to be released in April, but EMI owners indefinitely postponed the launch. The singer had also asked to leave the record label in January, but they refused.

"I’ll sing some of my new songs. They’re just new songs and I love them. They were recorded about two years ago but I have been in a war with my label," Stone said to the Daily Star.

She added that she will sing the new songs anyway and will be delighted if the company releases the album. "Maybe they’re trying to shut me up but good luck because they’ve picked the wrong girl," added the 22-year-old singer.
