Joss Stone Takes a Television Role

British singer Joss Stone will be making her acting debut on television.

The 21-year-old star will play Anne of Cleves, the fourth wife of Henry VIII in the third season of the series The Tudors.

The series will mark the singer’s first television role.  Stone made her debut on the silver screen in the film Eragon in 2006.

The Tudors chronicles the life of King Henry VIII, played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

Stone will be starring in another film this fall; the romantic comedy Snappers.  The singer will play a lesbian, and she will also be featured on the movie’s soundtrack.

Stone, who is a Grammy winner, has sold more than 10 million albums during her career.
