Stone openly criticised Lily Allen’s musical talents, saying that she has to rely on her fame to sell records, reports Starpulse.
The singer also attacked Allen’s recent comments about sharing music online, in which Allen said she is against open file sharing. Stone believes that Allen feels this way because she has to build her success based on album sales rather than stage performances.
Stone said, "She needs to sell records because she’s not a singer, and that’s not an offence to her because I think that she knows that too. I think she’s a performer and she’s more of a personality than she is a singer. But I think when musicians are really making real music people come to the show and that’s what we make our money from, from playing live. And I think it’s probably harder for an artist like Lily and any other pop acts."
She added that most musicians aren’t millionaires, and only hope to earn enough money to make their music, feed themselves and go on tour.
