Julia Roberts Is In The Neighborhood

Julia Roberts has lined up the fifth project for her production company.

Roberts has acquired the film rights to a book for her company, Red Om Films, reports Variety.

The Peter Lovenheim book, In the Neighborhood, will be the basis of the upcoming flick, which follows the story of the author’s attempt to bond with his neighbours by asking if he can come for a sleepover.

Roberts, who is currently filming Eat, Pray, Love, will be the project’s producer as well.  The actress’s other producing roles will include the flick My Mother the Cheerleader, in which a woman harasses the first black student at school in the Civil Rights era. Also in the works are Jesus Henry Christ, and Mallory, which chronicles the Mount Everest expeditions of George Mallory.

Finally, the film The Journey of the Destination: The Journals of Dan Eldon, will be produced by Roberts.  This film will tell the true story of a young photographer who is covering the famine in Somalia until he is brutally killed by a mob.

In the meantime, we can next see Julia Roberts in the film Valentine’s Day, opening on February 12.  She will share the screen with several stars in the movie, including her niece, Emma Roberts.
